Totally not true, maybe slightly noisier but it's not clearly better or worse. Plus you get the instrumental which isn't on the Mo Moody EP. Reply See 2 replies Notify me 1 Helpful.

The single sided sounds perfect to me. I bought in in an official record store in 2011 although mine is an edition with full black labels, so might be another version? If interested PM me.
This it the unofficial single sided release. I've been listening to both and the original record is way better.
It's the max, look at carl cox at youtube how excited he is when he played that song.
OK, gotta come back here after some time to offer a comment, I sourced the Mo Moody record with some time and effort, come to find out it doesn't sound hardly any better than the single sided bootleg. I A/B'ed them, I don't have golden ears but I'm not deaf either. Devastating? Totally not true, maybe slightly noisier but it's not clearly better or worse. Once again I've learned not to rely on the golden ears of discogs commenters, the bootleg is nearly identical sound quality. Plus you get the instrumental which isn't on the Mo Moody EP
It's just kind of annoying how the dude saying it sucks has people liking his comment even though it's totally misleading. Oh well, he was probably selling Mo Moody or an OG copy at the time. You really can't trust stuff on here some times. The version of 'I got Werk' on Mo Moody sounded a little off to me, it said it was recorded live, I have the 'Why do you feel' record and I like the version on there so I really didn't need another copy of it. I'm selling my copy of Mo Moody... should have trusted my ears not comments here. Lesson learned tho
Totally agree on the sound comparison, I also have both versions and in fact the bootleg seems to have somewhat better dynamics. Also to be kept in mind that the version on the Mo Moody 12" is 1 minute shorter (cut at the end) .. but you also get Werk on the B-side which is also pretty sought after
The bassline here is a looped sample from "Wahoo - Don't Take It Personal" (2007).
sounds about right
Just for some perspective I own the bootleg and it doesn't sound too bad to me
Sound quality of the single sided bootleg version is devastating. sorry. This is definitly no professional vinyl mastering, unlike the Mo Moody EP which sounds exactly like the original on Play It Down.
OK OK, summer's here, let's not be too demanding, all we want is aperitifs (for instance here in Paree, Perroquet which is Pastis with mint syrup and ice, very nice), nice, smiling, sweetly perfumed booties shakin on that obvious, simplistic summer house hit, nothing too complex, but keeping the groove. Well people, Oliver $ has that in stock for ya, a basic deep enough house groove, claps, keys, over the ubercool, loooose voice of Kenny Dixon Jr captured while motherfuckin jammin at some random party (and as some would say again those days, KDJ's got swag). Genius is the breaks and the simple organ lick coming just at the right moment after aforementioned break. Basically this track sounds like 'simplified KDJ' for beginners, or a step on detox for people coming from 10 years of Bob Sinclar or cheesy tribal stuff, on the way to something deeper. Simple, efficient, pleasant.
