Metallica (commonly known as The Black Album) is the fifth studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica. Released on August 12, 1991 by Elektra Records, it received widespread critical acclaim and became the band's best-selling album. Metallica produced five singles that are considered to be among the band's best-known songs, which include "Enter Sandman", "The Unforgiven", "Nothing Else Matters", "Wherever I May Roam", and "Sad but True"

Load is the sixth studio album by the American heavy metal band Metallica, released on June 4, 1996 by Elektra Records in the United States and by Vertigo Records internationally. The album showed more of a hard rock side of Metallica than the band's typical thrash metal style, which alienated much of the band's fanbase. It also featured influences from genres such as Southern rock, blues rock, country rock and alternative rock.

Metallica is an American heavy metal band. The band was formed in 1981 in Los Angeles, California, by drummer Lars Ulrich and vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield, and has been based in San Francisco, California for most of its career. The group's fast tempos, instrumentals and aggressive musicianship made them one of the founding "big four" bands of thrash metal, alongside Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer.

Metallica’s first vinyl record was released in 1983 entitled Kill Em All. Fans may want to take note that this was about a year before the CD began to infiltrate record stores. We have included some of these releases in our Top 10 Metallica Album Covers List. Throughout the course of the career that band has also released 37 music singles. The band has won eight Grammys and is considered by critics and fans to be one of the greatest rock bands off all time.

This is Metallica's best album in my opinion. It takes you back to what was going on in the early 90's. Wherever I May Roam", "Sad But True" are just a couple of the other gems on this album. 7 people found this helpful. Now about the box set, it is a perfect pressing with a couple nitpicks, there is a bit of warping and some distortion but over that, it's a pure quality box set, and experience.
