Roger Wagner, KCSG (January 16, 1914 – September 17, 1992) was an American choral musician, administrator and educator. Wagner was born in Le Puy, France on January 16, 1914, and died in September 17, 1992 in Dijon France. His younger brother was actor and voiceover artist Jack Wagner. Roger Wagner was immersed in music from his youngest years.
The Roger Wagner Chorale began as a 12-member madrigal group in 1946 and has since become known as America’s premier vocal ensemble and the possessor of an enviable international reputation. It was founded under the name of the Concert Youth Chorus, immediately expanded to a roster of 32, and followed its debut in December 1946 was launched into a busy performance schedule.
