Grateful Dead is an album by rock band the Grateful Dead. Released in October 1971 on Warner Bros. Records, it is their second live double album. Although published without a title, it is generally known by the names Skull and Roses (due to its iconic cover art) and Skull Fuck (the name the band originally wanted to give to the album, which was rejected by the record company).

Box Of Rain's return to the live repertoire in 1986 after a 13 year absence was one of the most welcome re-births of a Dead song. Since its March 20, 1986 return in Hampton, VA, Box Of Rain was a song that could appear anywhere in the show, sometimes opening the second set (as it does here), sometimes an encore, occasionally ending a first set, random middle of the first set placement, and even an occasional show-opener. Box Of Rain would be the last song the Grateful Dead ever played.

The Grateful Dead ring in 1991 at The Oakland Coliseum before a typically enthusiastic home turf audience. This night's configuration featured two keyboard players, with ex-Tubes member Vince Welnick now on electric keyboards and Bruce Hornsby joining in on concert grand piano.
