Alison krauss - losing you (live version). Alison Krauss - River in the Rain (LIVE VERSION). Alison will be performing with these fine musicians. An integral member of Alison Krauss & Union Station since 1990, he is also a successful songwriter, session musician and producer. Barry’s awards include 15 Grammys, 23 International Bluegrass Music Association awards - including 4 Bass Player of the Year trophies - 1 Country Music Association award, and 2 Academy of Country Music awards, including Song of the Year for the Top 10 hit Nobody To Blame, written with and recorded by Chris Stapleton. Jeff White began his career in bluegrass music in the early 1980’s, later joining Alison Krauss and Union Station in 1987. The band recorded Two Highways in 1989, then the Grammy winning I’ve Got That Old Feeling in 1990.

Alison Krauss & Union Station release their first live album, recorded at the Palace Theatre in Louisville, Kentucky, at the end of their 2002 Spring tour. The 2-disc set includes classic AKUS songs such as "When You Say Nothing At All", "Baby, Now That I've Found You", "Everytime You Say Goodbye" and "Forget About It", along with new favourites such as "The Lucky One", "Let Me Touch You For Awhile" and "I'm A Man Of Constant Sorrow". More important however was last year's overwhelming victory at the CMA awards of the soundtrack to O Brother, Where Art Thou? Central to the album were the vocal performances by Alison Krauss and, naturally, the song "I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow" by the Soggy Bottom Boys (in fact Dan Tyminski with Krauss' band Union Station).

Krauss has alternated between recording solo records and records with Union Station as a part of her contract with Rounder Records. While membership has varied over the years, the current band lineup includes: Barry Bales on stand-up bass Ron Block on banjo and guitar Jerry Douglas on Dobro Dan Tyminski on guitar and vocals.

Given Alison Krauss' tremendous popularity and her status as the first female bluegrass singer to cross over into genuine pop marketability, and given the fact that her guitarist, Dan Tyminski, is the voice behind "Man of Constant Sorrow" (or at least the version that served as an idée fixe in the blockbuster movie O Brother, Where Art Thou?), a live album.
