It is their first album with Mama He's Crazy on it. It has Had A Dream and John Deere Tractor also and the rest of the songs are good also.
Consumer Guide Album. The Judds: Wynonna and Naomi They've got a gimmick-not only are they a mother-and-daughter act, you can't tell who's who. But the music's simply solid-three fine ones plus three pretty good ones equals the most actively pleasurable Nashville of the year. I especially like the way "Isn't He a Strange One" and "Mama He's Crazy" tweak the same trope twice.
Though it lacked a strong set of songs, the Judds' eponymous debut album established that the vocals of Wynonna and Naomi played off of each other beautifully, and songs like the hit "Had A Dream (For the Heart)" provide the foundation for their later hit singles. The best moments on The Judds have been compiled on their numerous hit compliation, yet it remains a pleasant listen for most dedicated fans. 1 Had a Dream (For the Heart) The Judds 3:10. 2 John Deere Tractor The Judds 3:30

Still, despite Wynonna's vocal dominance, it was Naomi who acted as spokesperson, organizer, and general sparkplug for the Judds. Wynonna "seemed to disappear between songs," noted Geoffrey Himes of Country Music magazine. Under these conditions, the recording of Wynonna's debut solo album took on something of the character of therapy. sit there for three, four hours just talking about what was going on in her life," recalled top-level country producer/executive Tony Brown in an interview with Request's Keith Moerer. The Judds moved to Nashville in 1979, and their rise to country-music stardom has gradually assumed the character of legend. Naomi, by then a registered nurse, found herself treating the daughter of Nashville producer Brent Maher and parlayed the connection into an audition at RCA Records.
