The Knysna forest occurs along the southern Cape coastline of South Africa, at 34°S and between 22° and 25°E. The predominant geology is quartzite, shale, schist, conglomerate and dune sand (Geldenhuys 1989). The forests of the Amatole Mountains occur further east and inland, at 3. °S and 2. °E, where shale, sandstone, mudstone, and dolerite are the main geological elements (Geldenhuys 1989). Biodiversity Features Perhaps the most famous inhabitants of the Knysna forests are the remnants of the southernmost population of African elephant (Loxodonta africana). During the 18th and 19th centuries, many elephant and buffalo (Syncerus caffer) roamed the coastal plains and mountainsides of the southern Cape, taking refuge in the forests from hunting, habitat destruction and farm expansion. Ultimately, these human influences destroyed the herds (van der Merwe 1998).

The album appears to be spearheaded to some degree by the combination of Vusa Ndlovu and Dumisani Moyo, who trade off lead vocal duties and arrangement and composition duties admirably. Nqo Nkomo does an admirable job on backing vocals but rarely steps into the forefront. As mbube goes, this isn't a bad set at all.
Southern Africa is sufficiently wide enough that it is not possible to get its entirety in one instrument's pass, so images from the two MODIS instruments were combined. The calibration of the two MODIS instruments is so accurate that it is possible to stitch together separate passes from each instrument into a virtually seamless image. Were there significant differences in the instruments' calibration, geolocation, or surface reflectance, it would not be possible to produce an image at this high quality. When Terra acquired its half of the image, there were more clouds over central southern Africa than there were four hours and fifteen minutes later when Aqua flew overhead, resulting in the odd cloud patterns when the images were stitched. Finally, the direction of the clouds' shadows also points out that two instruments created this image, but this evidence is only visible in the highest resolutions.
